After weeks of hard work, I have released the first playable alpha version of my game, Stunter!
You can try it out here: HERE
Currently, loading the track from the original game is almost fully functional. All terrain and track elements are being laid correctly. However, you cannot yet get drowned in water and there are no decorations around the track yet. The track itself is being laid correctly though. Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think!

Matei 03.04.2026 07:12Downloaded 1775105752_Linux_ALPHA_0.2.5.zip, tried it, didn't work: ./stunter: error while loading shared libraries: libBulletDynamics.so.3.24: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Tried to install "bullet", didn't manage, that didn't work either. Maybe you could try to compile "bullet" statically?... Anyway, I also made a game which uses tracks from Stunts (1990): https://libregamewiki.org/SimCar https://matei.one/idxscr.html

Jenkings 07.04.2026 04:51Oh, please try installing dependencies: libbullet-dev libglfw3-dev libglm-dev libglew-dev Your game also looks very good. I will definitely give it a try

Matei 08.04.2026 06:13I finally installed what dependencies I could from source code: /usr/lib64/libBulletCollision.so.3.24 /usr/lib64/libBulletDynamics.so.3.24 /usr/lib64/libLinearMath.so.3.24 /usr/lib64/libGLEW.so.2.2 /usr/lib64/libglfw.so.3 - libglfw didn't work. Can you make a video with the game?

Jenkings 08.04.2026 10:03It seems that the compiler forces Bullet 3.24 and does not allow other revisions. However, some distributions install 3.25, which makes the executable unrunnable. I have tried making the latest build (0.2.7) with different linker settings. I am now giving it to testers with the same issue to see if it helps. I will see. In the meantime, you can view some devlogs here: https://www.youtube.com/@janskoda1

Matei 16.04.2026 05:57If my message appears twice again, I have nothing to do with it (I use NetSurf). First, I only got an executable from your file, no source code. There's actually more source code available for the original Stunts (1990), with all the reverse engineering done until now. Also, yor game has a lot of dependencies and I tried to get it to work, but it's too complicated. I installed Bullet version 3.24, as mentioned, but the problem was with libglfw. Anyway, I can recommend you a game made by another guy from Czechia: https://libregamewiki.org/Licar - much fewer dependencies, maybe you can use something from it (I'm studying it now).

Matei 19.04.2026 17:52Forgot to mention. I had a car between 2000 and 2008: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qv739njROI Škoda 120L. The advert was filmed in Romania but I'm obviously not in the car. Is your name Škoda?
